DevOps/DevEx advocate. I work to enable teams to deliver cloud-based and data-driven distributed systems. I enjoy driving teams to engage with experiments, new tooling, and ideas. I build tools and invest in people as part of my mission in life: helping others. Work smarter, not harder.

- Developer tooling & Developer Experience (DevEx): owner and main developer of an internal CLI used by hundreds of engineers.
- Agentic AI enablement: designed a shared agentic skills central repo; help run platform agent tooling and an AWS Bedrock rollout.
- CI/CD platforms: 8 years building and running them (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Internal Developer Platform (IDP): advisor and key stakeholder for the internal developer portal.
- Platform administration & governance: Artifactory; GitHub admin and business-unit GitHub governor (compliance alignment).
- Process & metadata design: ADR/RFC processes; platform metadata packages that model domain and environment metadata, driving the internal CLI and platform automation, including IaC tagging validation.
Career arc
Vonage (2019 – present): Staff Software Engineer, Developer Productivity. Owner of the internal developer CLI; advisor for the internal developer portal; designed the platform metadata packages that drive the CLI and platform automation. Previously Senior Engineer & Automation Architect, focused on the vision, architecture and delivery of engineering pipelines, plus GitHub governance and administration.
NewVoiceMedia (2015 – 2019): Engineer and Software Engineer. Drove the architecture of engineering pipelines on the Engineering and Enablement Team, sat on the Extended Architecture Team, and built cloud-based Node.js APIs and micro-services on AWS.
Earlier: lead developer and senior roles across the UK and Portugal, from .NET/C# registrar systems, CRM and e-commerce to business portals and legacy migrations. Polyglot across my career: currently Ruby, Bash, C# and TypeScript, with years of .NET and Node.js.
Beyond work
Based in England. I speak Portuguese and English natively, with elementary Spanish. Outside work, you'll find me reading and playing bass.
